2008 in Concert

Here are the top 6 shows that I saw in 2008, ranked in order of overall experiential enjoyment and personal impact. The other shows in my list (with the exception of Kelley Stoltz) were great as well--they just didn't crack the upper echelon for one reason or another.

1) Sigur Ros (Greek) - 26 August
2) The Killers (Warfield) - 13 December
3) REM / Modest Mouse / The National (Greek) - 31 May
4) The Faint (Fillmore) - 4 August
5) Of Montreal (Grand) - 21 November
6) Death Cab for Cutie / Rogue Wave (Greek) - 21 June

7-16

Blaqk Audio / Moving Units (Mezzanine) - 1 January
Kate Nash (Pop Scene) - 12 January
Robyn (Pop Scene) - 7 February
Mika (Warfield) - 12 February
Holy Fuck / A Place to Bury Strangers / White Denim / Veil Veil Vanish (Bottom of the Hill) - 29 February
Bob Mould (Great American Music Hall) - 26 March
NERD (Fillmore) - 21 July
Digitalism, Midnight Juggernauts, Juan Maclean (1015 Folsom) - 12 September
Spoon (Fillmore) - 23 September
TV on the Radio (Warfield) - 9 November

Barely warrants mention
Kelley Stoltz / Grand Archives / The Morning Benders (Independent) - 28 February

It is a bit of a surprise how many show we saw together not that we sawthem together but how many...I forgor about a couple. I went to so many shows it would be hard remeber them all let alone to rank them let. But our #1 is the same :) and REM is top 5t
You really shouldn't say that The Kelly Stoltz was hardly worth mentioning - because that show was with the Morning Benders who you totally liked and even bought a T-shirt - now if you want dis Kelly go right ahead.
